At UCP every student has to complete 65 hours of volunteer work. Volunteer in Service-VIS department organizes this volunteer work for graduating students. In addition to required volunteer work there are students who want to contribute as volunteers throughout their studies, for such students a society was formed called UCP-Welfare Society. This society takes up several activities related to welfare work inside and outside the university. This society also works in collaboration with other welfare organizations.
UCP-Welfare Society takes on several activities during the whole year including the following but not limited to:
- Relief Works
- Awareness Campaigns
- Medical / Health Camps
- Rallies and Congregations
- Seminars and Lectures
The areas of coverage of the activities of UCP-Welfare Society are:
- Literacy
- Hygiene
- Health
- Gender Equality
- Human Rights
- Other social issues
The students who become a part of this society have the immense desire to continuously contribute for the betterment of our society and help the people in need. The members of this society are highly commendable as they have the sense of sacrificing their time and efforts for the good of others.
