United Nations Academic Impact (UNAI) is a subsidiary of UNO that was established to engage institutions in the implementation of Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) and now Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). University of Central Punjab was made a member by UNAI in June 2017 through VIS department for working on social development. UCP is the 13th university of Pakistan to receive membership of United Nations Academic Impact (UNAI) alongside LUMS, NUST and MAJU etc.
UNAI was established under direct orders of Secretary General UNO Mr. Ban Ki Mon in order to get the education institutions on board in order to broaden the impact of social change and implementation of SDGs through education institutions.
